a truck rear ended the bus; the bus went up on sidewalk & ran over a waiting passenger, killing them.

You could say this isn't the bus's fault; however, I'd wait on saying that until I hear about the state of the brakes, & the skills of the driver.

I mean it when I say I'm not getting anywhere near these buses.

The driver of the dump truck says his brakes failed. The bus was parked. The person killed was just walking down the street.
