Goodbye, Grady

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Tue Oct 30, 2007 5:51 pm

The New York Times is reporting that Grady Little has resigned as manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers of Los Angeles, likely paving the way to be succeeded by Joe Torre, formerly manager of the New York Yankees of the Bronx. --Bob

Neither here nor there. Nice wife however, I met her at the UCLA Festival of Books last April. But if the GM/Owners are going to make bum trades every year at the trading deadline, there is nothing Grady or any manager can do to overcome these annual debacles. Look for more of the same next season at Chavez Ravine. I am just happy that McCourt's properties are draining him of excess cash, otherwise he may sacrifice the whole team on A-Rod, Raise tickets prices again as well as the already exorbitant Parking Fees that are now $15!
Let's just change the team name to the "L.A. McCourts" to comply with truth in advertising guidelines!

Off topic here, Eyegor, but I just saw your new avatar.

I must assume that's a photo of you, because why would you use anybody else's picture? Golly, you look a lot like Adventure Boy.

I assumed this post would be a belated farewell to Whitman Mayo.

The avatar is explained, sort of, elsewhere. I can't recall where, but it is near a mini 'spit coffee' alert.

Parking in Yankee Stadium lot is $14, $28 for playoff games, across the street from the stadium there is private parking, which I believe is about $25, $50 for playoff games.
Enjoy every sandwich
