Railings are being replaced in our new front stairs as we speak. These contractors (mason and ironworks) know what they're doing. The stairs themselves look great, and the ironworks maven is putting the railings on by a better (and cheaper!) method that will last longer. So Mom and aunts will have something to hang onto when they come for the shower. And GW has somewhere to hang the two huge white bows she bought to make my sister happy.

Discovered we (meaning I) forgot to return a signed document to the venue. Probably didn't realize it was something to be returned, and thought it was only a statement of some sort. I know where it is, or at least should be, so it should not be a problem, just an annoyance.

I think our usher count is determined. I have to take HS to a doctor's appointment on Monday, so we'll follow it with a visit to Mens' Wearhouse for tux measurements. GW wants to visit a local one to check out the styles. It's impossible to see the styling on the jackets from the website photos. Same problem with details in a photo of our black lab; no contrasting features, so you can't see the lapels, border trim, etc. But you can arrange for tux rentals at any of their stores and have them coordinated for the entire party. Good deal, when those involved are separated by about 900 miles.

Forgot to look at the engagement photos last night and make our choices. Tonight for sure.

It's coming together. Now if I could just get GW to stop stressing over the little things. The big things, okay, she can stress out over those. But not the minutiae. If we stopped right now, except for authorizing payments, the wedding would go fairly well with things as they stand. Achieving perfection is the desired outcome, however. Hence, the stress.
Music details appointment is coming up soon. That's three miles from our house, so no big deal on travel.
