here's a photo of my library as it looks right now. I have textbooks chest high all over the floor on pallets until fall walk through when the kids come to pick them up. I have kids doing inventory of all the books, checking condition, assessing damages, etc.
I CAN'T STAND THE CHAOS!

Chaos?
The books are in neat and orderly stacks, apparently all sorted by title...and all being properly inventoried for the fall, as you say.
Where's the chaos?

Wow!
And people probably think you get to enjoy your vacation!
Happy thoughts to finishing early.
Marley likes book events. Maybe he can come help?

Well, I was thinking that lily might gain some perspective if she came down to our Friends of the Library warehouse, to appreciate the huge piles of boxes of books stacked everywhere, that somehow manage to get sorted out into magnificent order for our semiannual sales.
Her books aren't even dusty!

I like Marley's attitude!
I was talking to the mom of one my son's friends (and baseball teammate). She is a 1st Grade teacher at our school. They also were scurrying to get prepared for next year.
Going from 5 K classes, 5 1st classes, 4 2nd classes, 4 3rd classes, 3 4th classes, and 2 5th grade classes (in a school that was closed to enrollment before it opened) to 6 Kindergarten classes and everyone else moving up one.
So, in the second year, they will need to break out the trailers.

Well, maybe the photo lily posted in that blog entry was from the prettier section and wasn't really representative of the chaos she's surrounded by.
BTW, Appa, maybe you didn't see my question to you, yesterday. Did you take that tornado picture in your avatar?

My wife sent me a link to the photo this morning, Marley.

Does it count as a "jinx" if you each post different links to the same thing?

Hard to tell if it's the same link or a different one, with that tinyurl!
But thanks to both of you for that. I presumed (hoped!) Appa hadn't been close enough to take the photo, but I wanted to hear his story.

I wanted to hear the part of the story where he grabbed a child under each arm and held the baby by her jammies with his teeth and ran away from the storm faster than the wind could blow.
That's my favorite.

Yeah it's neatly stacked. It's just that it's a maze and they are tearing off the roof over the collection. it's making me crazy! I help at the public library with the friends of the library. I love sorting through all the books.

Oh.
That's one little detail you left out of the blog report!

Silly, uninformed doggie -- In Nebraska, we have basements that protect us from storms. No need to run.
Plus, The Boy could outrun any ol' twister himself, so I would carry each girl over a shoulder.

So you could use your teeth to hold the camera!

I don't want to know what he uses to push the button.
