Happy postcard question

A little background: when auditioning in NYC, they made it sound like people auditioning for "Wedding Week" would be considered both as a couple and as individuals. It was also implied that there were separate postcards for the Wedding Week pool, although a later statement sort of contradicted that (they basically said, "well, if you get one yes and one no, ignore that - it's a yes.")
So, my fiance and I both received seemingly normal happy postcards. Does anyone know if that means we're only in the regular pool, or if we're still potentially in the Wedding Week pool? It would help for planning purposes, as they said that Wedding Week would be taped sooner rather than later.
Thanks!

I don't know the authoritative answer to your question, but I think it definitely sounds promising for Wedding Week.
If for some reason they later decide not to include you in the Wedding Week lineup, then either or both of you may have a shot at the hot seat for regular shows. That could prove even more lucrative for your upcoming marriage.
Congrats and best wishes on both the cards and the wedding.
Welcome, inniskillin. Keep us posted.

What the colored car said. I will point out that for Wedding Week they usually use about 7-10 couples, and they get many more auditioners for it. This way, you have 2 other shots at the game, so it's a good thing the card was noncommittal.
I would mention, however, that calling them "seemingly normal happy postcards" does them no justice...the fact that you BOTH got happy cards is reason to celebrate! Best of luck to you both!

When a couple auditions together, they are considered as a potential couple/team, as well as individual contestants. You should have received 3 postcards. One would be addressed to both of you, and the other two addressed individually. Was is the two individually addressed postcards that were happy ones, or the one which was addressed to you both? Also, the Wedding Edition postcards are usually marked as such, and differ slightly from the typical postcards. May I ask when you auditioned, and when your postcards arrived? My fiance and I auditioned on May 27, and have yet to receive our postcards. In the past we've received them 13 days after auditioning, and 15 days after auditioning, we've never had to wait this long before.

Given Hotseat or Bust!'s statements, we may only have gotten into the regular pool. We each got one addressed to ourselves, and no special Wedding Week one (Hotseat, do you know if they usually send a Wedding Week rejection postcard if you're not in that pool?)
We auditioned on May 13, and received our postcards on June 2 and 3 (we're not living together).
Thanks to everyone for the info and good wishes!

They may not have sent out any of the Wedding Edition postcards yet. Since it's a special edition, it would make sense for them to wait until they have had a chance to see what other engaged couples might walk into future auditions, then try to pick their favorites.

Yeah, seeing how much some uf us dream of getting a Happy Card around here, this notice about getting TWO of them seems a little...ungrateful?

If the two of you do get picked for Wedding Week, inniskillin, how much do you and your fiance trust each others judgement? Whenever there's a team episode, we often see the team partner who doesn't know talk the one who does have the answer into using a lifeline, "just to be sure". Two heads do have the opportunity to be better than one, but it takes trust for that to happen.

Apparently, they trust each other enough to pledge their love and fidelity for life.

Yeah, but would they ask the audience about that? Just to make sure?

Yes, they do indeed send rejection postcards for Wedding Week. My fiance and I do live together, and each time we've auditioned and been rejected we have received 3 postcards, one of which is marked as the Wedding Week one, all arriving on the same day. If I had to guess, I would say you guys are probably in the Wedding Week pool, as I would imagine the chances of an engaged couple auditioning and being rejected for Wedding Week, yet BOTH being chosen as potential individual contestants would not be very great. That is pure speculation on my part. There's really only one way to know for sure. When I had a question regarding our audition I left a message on the contestant hotline---212-456-4610. My call was returned rather quickly, and they were extremely helpful and pleasant. Whichever pool you and your fiance happen to be in---Congratulations for being in it!
