Hey guys this is my first post! I was going to be in the NY area the first week of August, but with Meredith being in China, I don't think they'll be taping or doing auditions that week. So, my next chance is to go to a road audition. The closest is about 4 hours away. Has anyone been to a road audition? I've read a lot about the NY auditions, but I don't know what to expect from a road audition. Any have an experience they could share?

Road auditions are a cattle call. You wait in line, take the test, and if you pass you get the interview. The test format is the same as in NYC.

Don't be so sure they're not going to do NYC auditions in August. Meredith may be in Beijing, but the contestant team may still be on duty in NYC before they go out for the second group of road auditions.

Right. They very likely will be taping some shows with guest hosts while Meredith is covering the Olympics; you could audition while attending one of those tapings.
