A home for the weary.

Trouble is living in Florida with Carl Lekic, the general manager of the Helmsley Sandcastle Hotel, the paper said. The dog's annual expenses are around $190,000, he said.themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:Leona Helmsley's Dog Loses $10 Million of Trust Fund now down to its last $2 million.
I read that he takes only $60,000 a year. Approximately $100,000 is spent per year on 24 hour a day security. The rest of the money is spent on food and other items.tanstaafl2 wrote:Trouble is living in Florida with Carl Lekic, the general manager of the Helmsley Sandcastle Hotel, the paper said. I am guessing Trouble's "expenses" include about $189,000 in "management" fees for Carl...
Lekic put her annual expenses at $190,000, which includes his $60,000 guardian fee, $100,000 for 'round-the-clock security, $8,000 for grooming, $3,000 for miscellaneous expenses, $1,200 for food and anywhere from $2,500 to $18,000 for medical care.

After Leona's death, I read that Trouble never quite managed to get house-trained. I'm guessing that the rest of the expenses are for carpet cleaning.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:Here's a quote from another article:

How much can a doggie door cost? And baseball caps are cheap too.silvercamaro wrote:After Leona's death, I read that Trouble never quite managed to get house-trained. I'm guessing that the rest of the expenses are for carpet cleaning.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:Here's a quote from another article:

Its is the sincere belief of the NSAS that squirrels are uniquely qualified to represent Ms. Helmsley's legacy and character.
I saw your tribute. I hope that doesn't mean you're going to try to get out of the bill he's going to send you as the most visible member of the NSAS.Evil Squirrel wrote:NSAS wrote:PUBLIC NOTICE

Does that mean we get a share of the remaining $2,000,000?
And what did you think of my little tribute I made up to you this morning? I'm expecting it to beat out Al Gore for the next Best Documentary Oscar.....
How are you going to fund that opera of yours if you run up a pile of legal bills trying to extort peanuts from me? I can show you hundreds of pictures of other dogs that look just like you.... let me see, no that's you.... and yeah, that's definitely you.... well OK, I don't have any of them on me now, but you have a lot of twins out there just like I do!AnnieCamaro wrote:I saw your tribute. You should have put seersucker stripes on his Superman suit. BTW, you used my picture, clearly identifiable, without permission, yet this was not a news photograph of the sort that would let you reproduce my likeness without having a signed release. I may get a lawyer of my own.
