We got the necklace and matching earrings, which you can see together in the fourth photo display (the one with the red background). The earrings, for some reason, droop forward. GW had the store get some plastic disks to put behind them between the ear and the gizmo (forgot the name) that holds the earring on, but they didn't work. GW plans to try a sequin left over from dance costume days to see if that's any better. All I know or care about is that she likes them. That's worth the money by itself.
Front steps are being worked on today. Should have a new set by the weekend. One more home improvement pushed up in priority by the wedding.
Also got myself a new set of eyeglasses, in a self-improvement that was pushed up in priority by the fact that my prescription was about to expire. I will look very different. I have had very large lenses in metal frames for a while. These are smaller, more rectangular, and darker frames. Might take some getting used to, both looking through them and at them.
