In Texas They Do Everything in a Big Way

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Thu Jun 12, 2008 3:14 am

Karl Chamberlain was executed in Texas yesterday, the first execution in the state since the Supreme Court decision affirming the use of lethal injection. Before his death, Chamberlain supposedly said before his execution that he wished he could die more than once.

If you look at his request for his last meal, you will see why. His request put the dinner buffet at the Golden Corral to shame:

It's good to see he didn't request any dessert. No sense in making a pig out of yourself.

No word as to whether he asked for a doggy bag.

Hmmm...I wonder if he requested the tomatoes on the veggie tray to try to hurry the process along.
There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

Looks like lunch to me.

Or it used to be. Sigh. Those were the days.
No matter where you go, there you are.

That's enough to put me off Top Chef for quite awhile.
Geez. Was he thinking he'd explode all over his executioners?
Well, then
