I guess this is one club we would rather have a limited membership. PSM would qualify with the teens, but I think hers are more sensible then our boys.

Except I think in this case she wants to give her mom away.

PSM, what number is currently on track to win the pool?

I'd strongly consider an even swap for my M-I-L

Might even throw in some cash.

I think PSM is talking about her mother, who has come for a visit.

So did she wake the famiy at 4 am by taking a shower in the girls' bathroom, today? Has she reminisced about what an idyllic childhood you had and how it contrasts to the horrible behavior of your own girls?

Maddie is on track to win, but there are some new tricks that I didn't account for when I made the pool.

I might qualify for this club as well.

I am awaiting a grade from Maddie's Honors Algebra II/Trig final. She didn't study as much as I thought that she should. For last semesters final, she got a 98% and she knew the minute that she took it that she nailed it.

She thinks that she got between 90% and 95% on this one, so I am worried. If she gets anything but an A on the final, she won't have an A in the class.

She didn't study as much for this test because she found out the line-up of plays for next year and she was obessing about what role would suit her best.

I think this qualifies for having a kid with her head up her butt.

She can spend all summer obsessing about plays. She has this week and this week only to take finals and keep her 4.0.

Because I won't allow her to do all of the plays if she doesn't keep her grades where they should be.

Jeff and I went on a date yesterday and I tried to convince him to see it. He refused. We saw "What Happens in Vegas" instead.

I'm still waiting for the grade.

When I got home from volunteering, I saw that I had a note from her math teacher. I thought that maybe he was writing to me to tell me something about her grade and I freaked out a bit.

He was just thanking me for the gifts that we have sent in all year.

I have a strange philisophy about teachers, I guess. I believe that they are underpaid and underappreciated for what they do.

I always send in cookies and gifts for the Holidays, Teacher Appreciation Day and the Last Day of School for all of the girls' teachers and others who make an impact on them. (Librarians, students teachers, etc.)

On the last day of school, I ask my girls to write their teacher a letter letting them know, giving specific examples, of some way that the teacher has made an impact on their lives.

That's REALLY nice. I have a lot of friends who are teachers and I know to get a letter like that would make the whole year worth it. Most teachers do it for the love of the kids, and deal with the fact that they are underpaid...but to know you touch even one child...makes you remember why you chose the profession in the first place. What a wonderful lesson to teach your girls! :)

The grades just came in.

Maddie needed a 125 on the final , to keep an A in her Honors Algebra II/Trig Class.

Spoiler
She got 126. We are very, very, very happy!
