The gown is in. It's beautiful, as I already knew. The top is too big, no surprise from the try-on photos that are my screen saver. Not falling off, as happened with BD's test fitting of one of the bridesmaid's dresses, but it needs to be brought in. The cats are now banned from our guest room, where hang both the gown and the MotB dress. The latter does not need alteration, just an appropriate necklace and earrings that GW already has picked out. Not cheap, but then we've always had expensive tastes.
I'm a bit melancholy today. It would have been my big sister's 40th anniversary. She died a little over ten years ago. Since then, my BIL's family business, a fairly well known maker of children's products and being run by his brother, was sold, and his family-owned stock cashed out. Needless to say, he's retired. Also remarried, for which I'm glad; he was miserable after Sis died. They'd been a couple since age 15. I just wish Sis was the one sharing the retirement with him.
