Tornado in Omaha

Kids came in our room sometime after 2:00 am to tell us that the power was out. (Their night lights had turned off.)
BW could hear the wind picking up, so she thought that the kids should go to the basement. I went to check on the baby and carry her to the basement. I gave a flashlight to my in-laws, but they did not want to head to the basement. (Quite an effort for my FIL with his Parkinsons.)
Soon, we could hear some sirens in the distance, but the sirens near us never went off.
As it turns out, there had been a touchdown within a few miles of our house. It just suddenly appeared on radar, without any indication that it could form.
Houses throughout Southwest Omaha had trees down, and some roofs were torn off. One news station interviewed a couple who had a neighbor's deck fly into their house.
First time that we have lost power (only three hours) while in this house, and this is the closest that we have come to a tornado since we lived in Auburn, NE. (Watched that one from the front yard.)
Interesting conclusion to our dance weekend.
