My kids don't have cell phones or MySpace pages. I'm safe for now. Plus, they crashed their computer and I'm in no hurry to fix it now that school is just parties next week, so they're not GETTING MySpace pages, either.

Cuz kids are stoopid. Even mine can be sometimes.

From the story: "We did dumb things when we were kids, but not like that," said Hoins, whose sons were not involved.

Lady, I can promise you, had the technology been available, it woulda happened when you were a kid, too. Raging hormones and the possibility of instant gratification, not to mention the egoboo (for the guys) of showing off either your latest conquest or the (ahem) reason for it. Wonderful combination.

One can only wonder what new technologies will bring for parents to worry about.

When I was in high school, someone slipped a photo of his genitals into a girl's locker. As I was the only known photographer, I was a strong suspect. They finally took my word for it and didn't ask for a comparison.

We didn't have digital cameras, cell phones and e-mails, but we were able to make do with good old fashioned Polaroid cameras when I was a teen.

And I remember a friend of mine in high school who was a photographer for the school newspaper, yearbook, etc. He once told me that several girls paid him to take and develop "artistic" photos of themselves which they gave to their boyfriends.

Technology changes; basic adolescent behavior doesn't.
