That "50 years old test" thing you've been talking

Had mine done Monday. During recovery, doc gave me a polaroid with 4 images. 1 was the normal looking part of my colon. The other 3 were of things that were not normal looking. 1 of which was sent to pathology. He told me at the time, that it was probably nothing to be too worried about.
Called me last night to tell me that pathology was negative and that the other 2 things shouldn't be a problem unless I notice something later. Told me to come back in 5 years.
I knew polyps ran in my family. Knew there was no history of cancer from them, as well.
Was never a doubt that I'd do this test. I didn't feel well for 4 full hours after chugging the "let's clear out your system" stuff. But was settled down for the rest of the night.
While prepping for the test, I heard a page for the head anesthesiologist (or however the hell you spell it). He was a friend of mine. I asked the prep nurse to see if I could say hi to him. He came over. Gave me an extra hit of Verset (or however the Hell you spell it).
Now that my ass has been reamed, I'm ready to get on with life !!

How come you didn't invite Michael Davies to your procedure!?!?!?!? What a perfect opportunity it would've been....

The prep is MUCH worse than the actual procedure, where they give you excellent drugs.

Yeah, well, they want me to come back again. Like soon. Because the diet and pre-procedure flushing didn't work. Twice. To add insult to injury, my insurance changed between the first and second try, and I just got a bill for a $150 copay.
Before I "go" again, I need to make sure that the hospital waives the copay (since I didn't clean out the first time, they should have gone straight to the super-flush, rather than extend the special diet by several days; the plan is to do both this time around). I also need to make sure my insurance will pay for it at all, since it has only been a couple of months.
I have no other signs (smear was negative, and what they did manage to see was polyp-free). Dad had polyps but no cancers. Mom had a solid tumor on the outside wall (at age 85) which was completely missed during her own procedures. If insurance won't cover it, I'm waiting for the regular five-year schedule, thank you very much.

What do you eat? Sawdust?
Next time try the garden hose prep.

Tell me about it. The doc said cheese can cause the "clump" he saw. Gee, thanks, why is it still on the "allowed to eat" list, then?
If it happens at all, it ain't happenin' for at least three months. I'm cranky enough as it is with all the wedding prep and house cleaning.

Hi Ace! Don't know if you saw my reply about a week ago, but I'm sure glad to see you again.
I've had a couple of those tests in the last few years. Had a couple polyps too, but none that were malignant.
But I also had a kidney stone about a year ago. OMG did that hurt. Maybe not as bad as having a baby, but about as close as you'll ever come to it.
