Organizing a Family Reunion

The weekend of June 20th.

I feel like gsabc and should start a bblog! Um, the again maybe not! I couldn't do it justice!

So, why can people not respond to a simple email? I am organizing 3 days of food and entertainment. Responding to an email should be relatively easy in comparison. I am just trying to get an accurate head count.

I will post the menu later but it looks like 30 people for Friday night at my house for diner, then more like 50 for all day Saturday and brunch on Sunday.

Biggest disappointment so far, although one of the kids are coming, SwampyTurtles and the rest of her bunch will not. I will miss her being here big time.

But Mom1111 and 2 Brothers1111 will be here!

What about sangria? You can make a huge batch of it ahead of time and it's always a popular party drink, since you don't get it all the time. Good for the summer too!

Lol...you can mix anything with vodka and it would work. Pomegranate and espresso martinis are very popular but that's going to be more work for you, it's not the kind of thing that is good if it's sitting around too long. I don't know, I'll just give up since I'm not young and trendy!

Dang! I was just at a party on Saturday night in the Hollywood Hills and the bartender had something on the bar he had made. And it sounded delish. But I didn't have any since I was working and I never caught the name.

How about this:

Rosa Mexicano's Pomegranate Margarita:

Ingredients:
2 ounces white tequila
1/2 ounce Triple Sec
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon fresh pomegranate juice (Can substitute bottled pomegranate juice)
6 ounces ice (or more)
Garnish with lime wheel or wedge




Directions:

Mix all the ingredients in a blender until smooth and frothy. Serve in a chilled glass and garnish with lime.


I was looking for pomegranate marqueritas and I found this:

P.S.U. Victory Dance

Ingredients:

2 oz Gin
1 1/2 oz Raspberry liqueur
1 oz Vanilla liqueur
1 oz Coconut rum (Coco Ribe)
1 oz Lemon juice
3 oz Club soda
1 tsp Powdered sugar

Mojitos are still one of the "in" drinks now that summer is rolling around but they are labor intensive.
I know that the kids love drinks made with Red Bull or other energy drinks.
