Dear friends

#1 Post by nitrah55 » Tue Jun 03, 2008 4:48 am

Eight months after breaking her hip and two months after an attack of kidney stones, my mom died last night. I was blessed to be with her and help her as best I could.

For all the prayers and good thoughts given by you on her behalf, I thank you.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

My condolences as well. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Nitrah,

I am so sorry for what you must have gone through and for what you and Beloved Son will go through. You are blessed in so many ways. I trust those ways will lift you up out of the darkness.

May peace be with you and your family.
