But watching the last 15 minutes now. I wonder if I will be able to get into it if they don't replay.

I recorded it to watch this evening. Who did they get to replace Anderson Cooper as the host?

Spoiler
They stole the Omarosa type contestant from the Donald LOL. I think the Mole is the AA Lawyer guy.

That's an insult to moles.

Some guy named Jon Kelly - he's no AC, but it's the first episode of the show I've ever seen, so what do I know? It looks promising, anyway.

And either there is more than a couple 'moles,' or more than a few idiots on the show.

Ratings for the Mole were very low, coming in third for the time period behind the hockey playoff game (which didn't do well either) and well behind a CSI Miami rerun. The Mole lost 30% of the Bachelorette audience, which also wasn't spectacular.

Don't look for any new editions of the Mole any time soon.

I have not seen it yet - it is on a tape somewhere in the batch.

I do think if I were to be on the show, I would do some things that could be called stoopid, just so that people think I am the mole and vote for me being the mole and out they go!

Good point. I haven't really seen enough of the show to know all the rules and nuances, so I'll try to reserve judgment.

Okay I am into it. Thanks to the power of torrents, I can see the first and third episodes which I missed. I will record the fourth episode and onwards starting tomorrow.

As this new season of the mole was approaching one of the reality channels had a marathon of the original series so I recorded the first and last episode to compare.

The new host has been getting better but he does not seem to be as engaging as Cooper was. Cooper of course is too big for this now.

Also it seems the new version has mostly stunts/physical activities so far and a lot less in the way of true puzzles. Puzzles are too complex for the demographic I suppose.

If ratings remain low it will probably finally go away for good but I hope they at least show this version to its conclusion.

And it is still the one reality show I would try! No living with sand up your crack for a month on a beach. No rushing around to catch the next flight to who knows where with no sleep.

Instead, for the most part, you go someplace and play a few games and then head back to the hotel for a nice meal and a comfortable bed. That I could do!

That said, the producers this season must be really prodding the cast to be "dramatic" as the interplay between the cast as been over the top and silly so far.

I've seen two shows so far.

I am into it.

I am such a slut.
