That was totally cool.

It is the most Trinity football I ever watched.

They are a good football team these days, but back when I went there, they stunk on ice.

They do a good job of recruiting smart good athletes--they don't have athletic scholarships, but find ways to encourage smart people who know they aren't likely to have a career in football to come to the school to get a good education and play ball.

Bix, when were you at Trinity?

I know someone who went there, and I am curious whether y'all might have met.

83-87.

Just missed my 20 year college reunion.

I know a woman who started there in the fall of 1985. Rebecca McGowan. Physics Major. Ring any bells?

Nope. Physics? ACK. I purposely avoided any scary math or science classes in college when I filled my required classes.

I find physics now to be interesting stuff, but I was so behind on my math/science stuff because of my years in South Carolina schools, that I never took physics in high school. That and most math and science teachers were not terribly good.

I found that I did the best in classes where I had the best teachers. I always respected those students who excelled even when the teachers stunk.

I figured it was a long shot. I heard she graduated with a 4.0.

She was my girlfriend my Sophomore year in High School. She was one year ahead of me. She was the first National Merit Scholar in our school's history. There has only been one more since.

Not to take anything away from hermillion here, but I'd bet that she would agree that it really doesn't take a world-class intuitician to figure this one out.

Just to be sure, I counted myself. One forward passes, 15 lateral passes, and the 15th one bounced once before landing in the hands of the guy who scored. That's one of the most incredible things I've ever seen in a football game at any level.

Too bad that there were so few people there to witness it in person.

I don't know. We've had a number of Semi-Finalists and Commended Student over the years, but only 2 made it to the final step.

It is a small town in East Texas. Maybe that accounts for it.
