Welcome to this two-week edition of Lyrically Speaking. Have fun!
We begin with a theme game. Clues to the theme are found in the titles or in one case the artist name.
1. Who's always writing on the wall
Who's always goofing in the hall
Who's always throwing spit balls
Guess who (who, me) yeah, you
2. You been runnin' all over town, now
Oh, I guess I have to put your flat feet
On the ground
3. Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain
Where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies
Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers
That grow so incredibly high
4. After the turn of the century
In the clear blue skies over Germany
Came a roar and a thunder men had never heard
Like the screamin' sound of a big war bird
5. Well, then can I walk beside you?
I have come to lose the smog
And I feel myself a cog
In somethin' turning
6. To divide the cockeyed world in two
Throw your pride to one side, it's the least you can do
Beatniks and politics, nothin' is new
A yardstick for lunatics, one point of view
7. And the waitress is practicing politics
As the businessmen slowly get stoned
Yes, they're sharing a drink they call loneliness
But it's better than drinkin' alone
8. Ooo, your kisses
Sweeter than honey
And guess what?
So is my money
Bonus: What is the theme?
Bonus 2: Who became Pope circa 68 AD after the death of St. Peter?
Image Bonus: Post an image based on the theme.
