WWTBAM Bored

British author best known for The Ipcress File and other novels featuring Harry Palmer (played by Michael Caine in the movies), considered the anti-James Bond, a blue collar, working-class character. He also wrote numerous books about World War II, most notably, SS-GB, a murder mystery set in an alternate history in which Nazi Germany successfully conquered Britain.
