Biology scientist best known for his controversial 1968 best seller, The Population Bomb, predicting a dire future with population soon exceeding the available food supply. He became a popular TV personality, appearing on the Tonight Show over 20 times, although most of his predictions failed to occur.

This is quite amusing. Not his death...but the population bomb thing.
I remember agreeing with him and don't have kids ! so go get your birth control!, screw people and hope it worked. Ah the 70's.
