I was actually able to play parts of Claire de Lune and Fur Elise. I am gobsmacked.

"Doctor, will I be able to play the piano?"

"Of course."

"That's funny. I couldn't play it before."

We've got a gorgeous baby grand collecting dust- the f-i-l refuses to play. He can play beautifully, just won't. Im hoping one of my grands expresses interest

I've found my vision vs notes on the page vs old hands is quite a combo. I was my church's keyboard person for about 10 years and was fairly decent. My greatest accomplishment to me was accompanying
two of our lovely singers on Vivaldi's Laudamus Te. It gets very very fast in parts and I did it! Oh, the keyboard had string setting etc.

Now it would sound like gargling...
