RIP Hulu

The streaming service is not going away, but the app itself is being discontinued starting in February. Original content like Only Murders in the Building and next-day broadcasts of ABC and Fox programs will still be available, but the app will be available as part of the Disney+ service. Subscriptions to the former Hulu programming will be purchased through Disney+ either on a standalone basis (as a tab at the top of the Disney+ hub), or bundled with other Disney and/or ESPN programming. The first announced shutdown date is February 5, when Hulu will no longer be available on Nintendo Switch.

I currently get my live programming through Hulu, as well as the various Hulu originals and rebroadcasts (I can also record and save live programming for nine months). I have a bundle with Hulu, Disney+, and the ESPN Unlimited app as separate apps for which I pay $90 a month. I had YouTube Live TV and paid about the same thing a month without Disney, Hulu, and ESPN Unlimited. I'm not sure how'll I'll be accessing my programming when this change goes into effect or whether there will be a cost increase (I have a sneaky feeling I know the answer to that one).

We are trying to figure out the same thing.

I had EPSN+ for years for college basketball and football games and some interesting documentaries and such. All the 30 for 30s, etc.

I have had Hulu for a couple of years - I am pretty sure we got it right before Only Murders in the Building debuted.

We are just trying to sort through everything, as far as what to keep and what to jettison.
