With their loss today the Kansas City Chiefs were eliminated from playoff contention.

I don't think most people would blame Travis Kelce if he decided to retire after this season and stay home with (checks notes) Taylor Swift.

Mahomes tore the ACL in his left knee and is out for the year (obviously) and possibly some or all of next year. I’m not a KC fan or hater, but you hate to see this happen to anyone.

With Taylor's tour over and Travis' season over the first week of January, looks like they'll have a lot of time to plan the wedding and practice that first dance.

Last year’s top seed in the NFC, Detroit, is toast, as is Washington who knocked them out of the playoffs.

The Chiefs, Lions and Commanders all played today. I suppose the NFL thought those powerful teams would draw a national audience on Xmas.

And apparently so did Netflix who paid $75 million per game.

Netflix televised the first two games. Amazon Prime televised the Broncos/Chiefs game as part of its Thursday night package. These games on Amazon Prime and Netflix are normally good for sports bars, since fans without those premium channels don't have a ready way to watch. Unfortunately, most sports bars (along with most other bars) were closed on Christmas.

With Buffalo's loss today, the New England Patriots are the AFC East champions. They could get the #1 seed if they win in Miami next week and Denver loses to the Chargers. Either way, it's an incredible turnaround from last year's 4-13 record.

They're baaa-aaack!

How did this team lose to the Raiders, a team so bad that the Giants beat the crap out of them today?

Turnovers and bad defense. Plus, Drake Maye had not yet turned into Superman.

Most Pats fans I know would were thinking 7, maybe 8 wins. And no one expected them to go undefeated on the road.

When given a cake schedule, eat cake.
