Jalen Hurts, the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, became the first player since the NFL began tracking these statistics in 1978 to have two turnovers on one play. Against the LA Chargers Monday night, he threw an interception, and the Chargers player began running it back. He was then hit and fumbled, and Hurts picked up the fumble and started running. Hurts was then hit and fumbled again, and the Chargers recovered. Under NFL scoring rules, that counts as two turnovers by Hurts, part of his total of five on the night.
The play will be a shoo-in for ESPN's Not-Top-10 Plays of the Week. The Eagles lost 22-19 in overtime.

And the game ended when, with the Eagles already in field goal range, Hurts threw an interception.
Amazingly, the Charger defensive player who caught the ball got up and started running. All he had to do was stay on the ground and the game was over. Fortunately for the Chargers, the play ended without further incident when his own teammate dragged him back to the ground. --Bob
