Put Me in Coach

AKA-"Too Many Whiskies-So Little Time

With the end of harvest-I am in the beginning of the "(almost) regular dram of Scotch of a winter evening" season.

While, I try to enjoy a dram in other seasons-it will be consistent for the next few months.

After some thought-I have developed a regular rotation of (currently) 9 whiskies that has some long-time favorites but also leaves some room for new bottles to try.

I like 9-so far-as i can look forward to my favorites-but don't have them enough that I will get sick of them.

Tonight-is Kichoman Distillery Ballinaby and tomorrow night is Kichoman's Machir Bay-YAY!!!!!!

I had my first taste of Machir Bay about a month ago and I susoect that it has earned a regular place in the line-up-along with Port Charlotte 10.

I had a bottle of Macallan 15 that was about half gone and I decided I simply did not like it enough to waste an evening dram on it and I gave it to L'il Spock's girlfriend's dad.

I am very firm about only one dram of an evening-even when I will be in the house at an earlier time now.

Some Whisky Youtubers advocate a "Dry Week" every month just to step away and evaluate the situation and so forth-but I figure-if I hold to one a day that should be fine.

With one dram-I can nurse it for a long time and enjoy every sip even if I don't particularly care for that whisky.

I do have 5 unopened whiskies here-waiting for their turn-so I can see the rotation going up to 10-but probably not beyond that.

How long until you have to make a re-stocking trip?

I just can't help myself:

"Put Me in Coach" = "I'm too cheap to pay for business class."

"Put Me in, Coach" = "I'm ready to play, today." --Bob
