I just ordered my ticket for the Georgia Tech - Clemson game, and, as a bonus, they've included a ticket for the Georgia Tech - Temple game. Tech owes Temple for inflicting that horrible coach Geoff Collins on us, costing us four lost seasons (and a loss to Temple during that time). Well, what goes around comes around, and it's now payback time. (In the words of The Thing, it's clobbering time.) I'm going to enjoy every minute of Tech thrashing Temple almost as much as I'll enjoy seeing the Clemson game if we win. (I've already got tickets for three other Tech home games.) This is the first time I've been to Tech games in person in about 20 years, and it's also the first time I haven't bought tickets through scalpers at the stadium.
September 20. Time TBA. Be prepared. The Yellow Jackets are coming for you.

I really do like Temple's new coach KC Keeler. But the Owls are a work in progress. I will be very interested to see how it evolves.
Well, the game started out the way I wanted with Tech scoring three long touchdowns on their first three possessions to go up 21-0. Then, they did what they often do against lesser opponents when things start going well; they eased up on the gas. Early in the third quarter, Temple recovered a Tech fumble and scored to make it 21-14. At that point, Tech woke up and put the game away. Final score was 45-24 (Temple scored with three seconds left to cover the spread.)
Closer than I would have liked, but this is the type of game they lost to Bowling Green two years ago to mess up another promising season start. So the eyes are still on the prize.
