a skunk wandered into a cage trap which was protecting Carl the Duck from evil predators.
Carl refuses to let it out.
I am considering throwing a sheet over the cage, then sneaking up on it after dark and opening the door. But, I remember what happened to Peter Brady when he was sprayed.
or maybe that was keith partridge.
anywho, I am open to suggestions.

Call Aminal Control. You're already paying them to do thid kind of work.
BTW, saw the show on GSN with you and Leszek in the ROF last weekend. Your fingers aren't getting any faster.

I don't know how to solve your problem. I do know that Johnson's Baby Shampoo gets the smell off my sister Irish when she tries to be the boss of skunks.
I thought that information might prove helpful.

I read tomato juice also will remove the aroma.

My mom says baby shampoo works better and isn't as messy. I don't know from personal experience, because skunks like me better than Irish.

Take the cage someplace suitable for skunks (OUTSIDE Jefferson Borough or Elizabeth, thengyewverramush), open the door, and run like crazy back to your car.
The skunk will toddle away, and you can retrieve the cage.
That is my suggestion.
Good luck.

I have always had very good luck with Dawn dishwashing liquid, even on my beautiful four-inch furred Bigfoot. However, I know it's very hard on skin, so next time I'll try baby shampoo.
If there is a next time.

Maybe there won't be.

It would be horrible if the skunk got upset in the car and sprayed.

BDM can outrun a skunk who's afraid of him.
I think.
Maybe not.

It was the entire Partridge family, after Chris and Tracy let it wander onto their bus, thinking it was a cute little kitty. Then, when they got to their hotel, room service wouldn't sell them tomato juice, except by the glassful. They ordered
many glasses!
