New Zealand actor who played a wide variety of roles from the 1960s on, most notably providing the voice of Emperor Palpatine in The Empire Strikes Back. (In more recent versions, Ian McDiamid's voice is dubbed over Revill's.) He was also the last villain on the NBC version of Columbo.
