Did anyone else watch the shows on The History Channel?
I would have written it better. There were too many experts, which made the narrative rather disjointed.
He was my mother's 2nd cousin, six times removed.

His Great Grandparent and your mother's 6th Great-Grandparent being the common ancester would make them 2nd Cousins, 6x removed
That would make him your 2nd cousin seven times removed? Right?

His Great Grandparent and your mother's 6th Great-Grandparent being the common ancestor would make them 2nd Cousins, 6x removed
That would make him your 2nd cousin seven times removed? Right?
Right. Also, Patrick Henry is her 5th great-grandfather.
As I'm adopted, I can't claim them.
