2525 Rules

#1 Post by Vandal » Tue Feb 04, 2025 2:57 pm

In the year…

-- 2525 is a Bored challenge about historical happenings in a particular year (past, not future). Each daily challenge consists a list of events (5 or more), then specific questions about the events. The events are often vague in nature, but you should be piece it all together. For this round, all events occur post 1900.

—TL;DR: Read the events and answer the questions. I'll give some +/- leeway on the year. 5 points for right on, 3 points +/- 2 years, 1 point +/- 3 years.

— No, it’s not Timeline (there is no line, just a point).

—No, I did not consider calling it Timepoint.

-- Everyone is encouraged to play.

-- Each annum will typically be posted early (0700-0730) Eastern time on weekdays and remain open until the results are posted, usually the next evening when I get around to it. More than likely each new annum will be posted the night before. All Friday units remain open through the weekend.

— This round will run for ten days to judge it for worthiness. I’ll run a new round if it passes muster. There are many annum to work with, but I need to see what my brain can handle.

-- If you miss a day, it's okay to go back and play and I'll count it. Really, it's okay to be late to the party as long as you show up.

-- Please use a spoiler for all answers.

-- No outside sources allowed, this includes previous posts on the board. Don't cheat, it's not becoming.

-- There is no penalty for wrong answers, so guess away!

-- Humorous posts and retorts are encouraged for the good of the Bored, but I don't give out humor points. I have a hard enough time just getting the regular scores somewhat correct!

-- Please check your scores and bring any scoring errors to my attention. I've found that internet information can sometimes be wrong (gasp!) or misleading.

-- I try my best to avoid ambiguous wording in the questions. If it happens, please bring it directly to my attention.

-- No political posts allowed. Nevuh evuh.

-- Have fun!

In the year …
