I can not figure out how come this would be difficult. Even if you don't know that 2008 is a leap year, you gotta know the other months have either 30 or 31 days and that the month will not start and end on the same day.

First off - if you travel for business - Tumi is the luggage to have.

Secondly - The PaF did not need to know the whole thing about the god - they just needed to be asked what Tumi makes. Bad use of PaF.

Our "friend" SOX404 would have a field day with this comment.

It almost seemed as if Meredith was trying to give Rebecca the answer by stressing the year.

That seems awfully low for a year of tuition.

Lifeline time for me, because I've never heard of Olivia. ATA and hope the audience has.

Time for lifeline #2. I would have ruled out kitchenware also, but any of the other three could be plausible, so it's time to PAF, figuring it would be an easy Google search.

This was a pretty tough stack, IMO.

It is an essential part of the clue, in this case. But they could also have said "in 2008, 2012, 2016..." which would have been a stronger clue about why this is so.

Otherwise, a bad stack for me. I'd need lifelines for Olivia and Tumi.

I googled the word "Tumi" and four out of five entries that came up involved luggage.

Maybe I just shop too much, but I knew Tumi right away. Definitely top of the line luggage and other leather goods such as briefcases and these days travel bags for laptop computers.

So is Tumi the Peruvian god of luggage?

Wikipedia doesn't call Tumi a god at all, but a type of sacrificial ceremonial knife.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tumi
In Andean mythology, the Moche, Chimu and Incas were descendants of the Sun, and had to be worshipped annually with an extravagant celebration. The festival took place at the end of the potato and maize harvest in order to thank the Sun for the abundant crops or to ask for better crops during the next season. During this important religious ceremony, the High Priest would sacrifice a completely black or white llama.
Not a llama!

According to their entry on the Tumi business, the proper name for the deity on a Tumi knife is "Ñaymlap".

I can see how that would be a bit awkward to use as a brand name. :P
