Apparently, I am a Fashion Icon

Given what happened today, for the rest of my life, whenever Mrs. Spock asked disdainfully "Are you really planning on wearing that?" I can answer with confidence-"Yes I am, as you well know I am a fashion icon."
Explanation-basically all my work clothes are Carharrt brand. I have found what I like and they work for me. I can be considered the "Man in the Brown Carharrts."
Somewhere along the way, I have picked up that Carharrts are the bomb with a certain youth cohort.
My "Good" winter coat is a green Carharrt coat that has started to see its better days.
Well, today we made our semi-regular trip to stock up on blueberry bagels. We have to hit a string of stores to pick up a bakers dozen at each.
Yes, I know-driving 150 plus miles one-way for bagels seems a little odd-but there is really nowhere closer anymore.
The checkout guy at one store complimented me on my coat and I said-"Yeah, it is just a Carhartt."
Then he said "I feel obligated to tell you that a lot of people my age would pay you a lot for that coat."
That ended the exchange, but I have been kicking myself for not entertaining an offer from him and seeing if he was interested in brokering more Carharrt stuff that has seen its better days. Because, believe you me-I have a supply of it.
Yep, when opportunity knocks-Spock just has his mind on yummy blueberry bagels and maybe noticing a few of the attractive suburban soccer mom types in there. LOL.

My niece's fiancee has made a pretty lucrative side hustle out of buying and reselling. She said the most aggressive resellers (read: first income, not second), will make day trips to rural areas and haunt the Goodwills and rummage sales to try to find Carhartt stuff -- the more worn, the better. The coveralls are especially primo -- the more wear in those reinforced knees, the better. They're in Boston, and my jaw dropped when she told me how much people will pay her for them.

Boonie has a Carhartt jacket he loves.
He gets compliments from our grandniece Ang's boyfriend and circle of friends - HS seniors all.
His sling bag for travel is also a Carhartt.

We went to the Mall of America later that day-shades of a certain Final Four when the Spocklette was a tiny baby.
Anyway, Carharrt now has a store there to cater to the "Fashion" market. I didn't go in to check to see if stuff is more expensive there than it is in the local Fleet Farms and such where I buy my stuff.
