Entertainment Weekly has its year-end "In Memoriam" tribute for celebrities in the entertainment industry. It's pretty up-to-date (Olivia Hussey is on there; Linda Lavin isn't.) You can divide the people here into three categories: People I was familiar with and knew they died; People I knew but didn't realize they were dead; and People I'd Never Heard Of.

TCM also has its TCM Remembers tribute. It's a five minute video dedicated to those in the film industry. It includes a number of behind-the-scenes people as well as familiar actors. When watching this, I realized that there were several well-known people mentioned here who weren't on the much longer EW list, like Genar Rowlands and Tony Todd. But, together, the two lists give you a good look back on who we lost in 2024 in the entertainment industry
