The Tylenol Edition.

Not sure if I mentioned that FSIL's designated best man was shipped out, and that his father will now be his best man. It occurred to me today that we don't know if Dad will be wearing his old dress blues (he's retired Army), or if he'll need a tux. The latter creates logistical problems. I need to ask BD to check on this, if she and GW aren't ahead of me as usual and have asked this already.

One thing that didn't get done this weekend was contacting restaurants near the venue for a rehearsal dinner site. I'll have to work on this tonight. Since the timing is smack in the middle of tourist season, we're trying for a mid-afternoon shindig. The rehearsal time was tentatively 2 PM, depending on when people would be arriving from out of town. It could be moved earlier. It will stay where it is, because the thought of trying to set up a place for 20-25 people in the middle of lunchtime during prime tourist season is just too nasty to consider. Mid-afternoon stands a better shot at finding a decent place.

But if he needs a tux, doesn't he have to get it?

Some of this stuff really isn't up to the FotB sweetie.

Stretch a little today as well as the Tylenol. It will help tomorrow even if it is sore today.

Isn't the groom's family responsible for the rehearsal dinner? If so then they should be making the arrangements, unless you volunteered to do so because of distance issues.

Yes, but it would be nice if it coordinated with the ones that HS and I will get. Moot point anyway. I am informed that he refuses to get a tux. BD says as long as he doesn't come in jeans and a t-shirt, it's okay. I will put "naked" on that list as well. GW got a laugh out of that. We figured that an event like that would get passed down for several generations. "You ever hear how your great-grandfather showed up naked to your grandparents' wedding?" LOL.

I am not making the decision, BD is. If she wanted him to have a tux, he would.

Just so. It's a bit much to arrange from 1000 miles away. I'm trying to keep it to a reasonable level. Nothing fancy, just someplace that can handle 20-25 people even off the menu. Not Mickey D's, though.
