I Recommend This Upcoming Special

The Real Full Monty, which will air on Fox as a two-hour live special on December 7. It "stars" James Van Der Beek, Anthony Anderson (who produced), Taye Diggs, KC Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones, Tyler Posey, and Bruno Tonioli. The special will follow them through training and rehearsals, culminating in a live performance (choreographed by Mandy Moore).

The entertainment factor isn't the reason I'm recommending this show. Its purpose is to raise awareness of prostate, colorectal, and testicular cancer, which are often sources of embarrassment among men. The celebrities will recount how cancer has affected their lives. Van der Beek has just gone public that he's suffering from colorectal cancer, and some or all of the others may reveal the same. I'm batting two for three on this list, so I can really empathize with them.
