Amusing interlude last night

#1 Post by Beebs52 » Fri Oct 04, 2024 5:09 pm

Not. About 4:30 am our outside tv turned on. We heard faint noise and saw weird light thru our blinds. Police? No. Tv just turned on. Boomer hadn't freaked, so...turned it off. But, yet.

5 fucking minutes later we had the blue alert on our cellphones, which will give you a mini heart attack, because it's loud and screechy , and-it was some guy in Memphis ,Tx, Hall County, who had shot an officer, which is bad, and be on the lookout etc. Never heard of Memphis T
x, went back to bed.

Net net is the alert went out to EVERYONE in Texas. Granted, bad guy, blah blah.

Google blue alert for Texas and read comments from everyone. Good laffs,
White guy, tshirt and blue jeans, inTexas. DEFCON 5!

Maybe sleep tonight... turned alerts off
Well, then

Def turn alert off. Sleep well.

My “wake up call” was at 4:52 AM. Seth is the most hated man in Texas for the week.

Policeman he shot is going to be OK, thankfully.

Memphis TX is a small run down set of buildings on US 287. If you’re driving to Colorado, it’s on the way. No real place to stop other than a Loves gas station there so no one really notices it. Since my oldest moved to Colorado in 2017, and middle daughter lived in Pampa for a year, we’ve driven through there, coming and going, no less than 20 times. Maybe more. I don’t believe we’ve ever stopped there.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
~~ Thomas Jefferson

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.
