Compendium: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=62552

Closing out the old century and bringing in the new century. Yes, we're approaching the end of my Top 500 countdown because we're now up to the aughts. Hard to believe that some of the songs in this section are now over 20 years old because they don't feel that old.

This year, I lost three 2000s songs from my original list.

#22. My Life Would Suck Without You, Kelly Clarkson (2009)
#20. With You, Chris Brown (2007)
#19. Peaches and Cream/Dance with Me, 112 (2001)

The good news is that I gained nine songs for this section, taking my total from 22 to 28. Let's go!

#28. Let Me Hold You, Bow Wow f/ Omarion (2005) -- #16 in 2018

#27. This Love, Maroon 5 (2004) -- #18 in 2018

#26. Weapon of Choice, Fatboy Slim (2000) -- #17 in 2018

And yes, I still haven't gotten over this music video losing Video of the Year to "Lady Marmalade".

#25. Can't Fight the Moonlight, LeAnn Rimes (2000) -- NEW!

#24. I Want Love, Elton John (2001) -- NEW!

Yes, more Elton John music for my list. This is the video with future Oscar winner Robert Downey, Jr.

#23. The Sweet Escape, Gwen Stefani f/ Akon (2007) -- #11 in 2018

#22. Rainy Dayz, Mary J. Blige f/ Ja Rule (2002) -- NEW!

#21. Viva la Vida, Coldplay (2008) -- #21 in 2018

That's all for now. More next week!
