Happy Birthday Skoop!!

#1 Post by T_Bone0806 » Mon May 26, 2008 2:48 pm

Hoping you are having a wonderful day, that you enjoyed Indy Jones (I did..we saw it last night at the Drive-In), your Mexican food, and will enjoy "Enchanted". I think that for pure enjoyment, I had more fun watching it than any of the "blockbusters" I saw last year.

The very best to you on your birthday (and every day, of course).

Happy Birthday!
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Do you play the drums as well as sing? U share your birthday with Levon Helm (The Band) and Garry Peterson (The Guess Who) as well as some decent singers including Peggy Lee and Stevie Nicks.

Hard to believe Stevie Nicks is 60 today.

Happy Birthday, Skoop.

Thanks.

It was great except for an dinner interlude with my brother.

Now I am making some coffee and watching Law and Order episodes from last weekend's Detective Green marathon. And then "Enchanted."

Mom gave me a necklace with a pendant with these words on it:

ANCORA IMPARO

and a notecard that said What does this mean?

A My mind is still growing
B. Knowledge increases
C. I am still learning
D. Haagen-Dazs is the best

I worked out that imparo might have to do with imparting or learning, and guessed C. And said, "When in doubt, Charlie out," which she likes, and said with me. And that was right.
