Retired Marine and Defense Dept. official Mick Mulroy confirms that this tactic is well known: “Throughout history tanks and tankers have used add-ons to try to defend against all of these anti-tank devices. Mesh, reactive armor, even chain linked fences, have been used.”
Working for a defense contractor for thirty years, I thought that sophisticated weapons are the key to victory. Folks who have actually served know better.
