Today's WWTBAM Rerun

Today's episode originally aired on 1/28/08. It seems like an odd choice to start the week, since the first contestant is a carryover in the middle of his stack of questions. I guess the show no longer cares about maintaining continuity.
Edit:
I may be wrong about the first contestant being a carryover. Maybe I just tuned in late. The transcripts indicate otherwise. Mea culpa.

Maybe they figured no one would notice or care on a holiday?
The only other thing I can think of is maybe it was pre-empted in enough markets that they really didn't care what they showed?

I noticed on millionairetv.com for this week, there was a contestant that had been on before. I thought Millionaire had given her a bad question, and had invited her back. Figures they would show a rerun on Memorial Day

This thread makes me very happy. While caught up in 27 different things at once, including the Monty Python marathon on BBCA, I missed Millionaire. Now I don't have to care.
Did you get that, Marley? That's BBC America, presumably to be found on your local cable lineup. They've already had the Spam and Lumberjack episodes, along with several other gems I had forgotten. Hours and hours of good stuff remains.

Well, I do get BBC America, but I hadn't realized they were doing that today. I've been pretty busy. Gardening, if you can believe it, then I went to see Indiana Jones.

I don't know which re-run you saw, but I saw the one with the optometrist from Staten Island who needed to ATA on what phrase describes someone who's "navel-gazing". This was the $1K question, I think.
Are the rest of this week's shows reruns, too?

Yes, that was
Jack Rotoni, in the episode that first aired on 1/28/08, as TheConfessor said.

That's usually how they do things--in repeats for a whole week. Somebody will probably be able to confirm this tomorrow.

I can't confirm the original air date, but Jack Rotoni started the broadcast in Los Angeles with the $100 question. --Bob

Please say yes.

Maybe several, depending upon how long the show is in reruns.

If they follow the same schedule they have the last 2 seasons, the show will be in reruns for 2 weeks, followed by 3 weeks of new shows, which will end the season.

Man, you guys need to visit my site at least once in a while. It's wwtbam.biz for the uninitiated.
Two weeks of repeats then three weeks of new shows to close out the season, as luv2jog deduced. BBTranscriptTeam, enjoy your well-earned break.
There's also going to be a guest host the last week of the season, just like last year with Tim Vincent. I know who it is, but I haven't identified the name yet on my site. I will towards the end of the repeat episodes.
One hint - it's not someone that has guest hosted before. Another hint - it's someone you're more likely to have heard of than Tim Vincent.

Sounds like it might be...
Al Roker - he's the only other person I can think of who has guest hosted (excluding Billy Bush).

Your guess has hosted before. It's someone that hasn't guest hosted Millionaire before.

They should get old, retired, game show hosts to guest host.

I somehow managed to overlook the "not" in your post.

My guess is, <gulp> Rosie O'Donnell.

I was thinking of Rosie, too. She may has too many personality negatives for TPTB to choose her as a guest host now, but I remember what huge fan she was of the show, back in the good old days. A strange concept, huh, to have contestants and hosts who are fans of the game.
And, IIRC, all of the guests hosts have been men, so far. TPTB ought to be getting concerned about that gender balance thing.

I would ask one of the ladies of The View.
I think Joy would be great.
funny and great
I wonder if Lara Spencer would be any good.

I don't think she and ABC/Disney will ever work together again.
