While trying to determine the answer, Omar mentions that his wife recently had a baby. He can't recall that she had a test involving any of these body parts. Before their deliberations go off the tracks, Jimmy (illegally?) helps them out with the question, "Was a paternity test part of that?"

I haven't watched the show. Are goldfish commonly known for a short memory? Why??? I'd think, just by comparing lifespans, that a fruit fly would have to win in that category.

Last week, they had a question involving simple division for $16K. This week, it's simple multiplication for $125K. Again, they didn't have to get an exact answer. And since they just had to compare these equations to see which was bigger, there were common terms that could cancel out when making these comparisons.

I was at the taping of this stack on June 9. (I also saw Ike and Alan Barinholtz.) They took FOREVER on the 125K question, like 10 minutes, but they edited it way down. And the reason Sebastian said at the end that Omar didn't have a partner was because very often Omar would come up with a correct answer, but Sebastian would keep saying, Are you sure?, casting doubt when Omar was right all along. They edited all that out too. Sebastian also once said he was troubled by the audience's silence, since he's used to working for an audience, but Jimmy explained that the audience is trained to be silent, and not cheer a correct answer.

LOL, 10 minutes is hardly forever. I can think of four questions I watched from Seat 9 back in the day (Ed's glowing potato and Amy Turner's last three) that went on for at least ten real life minutes...

Maybe it's just because one of my blogging friends a decade ago went by the username Goldfish and she mentioned it a lot, but yes, goldfish are "known" for having short memories. She had memory issues caused by a head injury and that's why she chose the name...
