I love "Chinatown." Possibly my favorite of the "Great" movies.

Any movie that has a major plot point revolving around land ownership records and researching such-has to be good.

Us real estate appraisers need some love too.

I did that part time from 2006 to 2015. Sad that path closed-I loved the research and writing. During the period I was busiest at it-I said I was completing a master's thesis every month. We had large in-depth projects.

Specifically, he wrote 'The Garden Scene' between Michael and Vito Corelone in the first Godfather film.

From his Wiki page:
He also wrote the script for Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes, hoping to direct, but he grew dissatisfied with the production and credited his dog, P. H. Vazak, with the script. Vazak became the first dog nominated for an Oscar for screenwriting.

Two quotes from Robert Towne:

Good dialogue illuminates what people are not saying.

A movie is really only four or five moments between two people. The rest exists to give those moments their impact.
