With the death of Willie Mays yesterday, who is now the Greatest living ballplayer?
I'll through a nominee out there - Ken Griffey, Jr.

Undoubtedly a spectacular player. But I'll need to see the whole career before I bestow the title to him.

I'm sure this title doesn't belong to me, but I'll bet I'm in the Top 3!

Strictly going by Wins Above Replacement (Which, like many analytical stats, I'm not a fan of), removing the three players tied with steroids (Bonds, Clemens and A-Rod... and removal of which I'm also not a fan of), the title would belong to.................
Rickey Henderson

Yaz is #33 all time, and among the living, only Schmidt, Pujols, Maddux and Randy Johnson are between him and Rickey (and the PED trio). I wouldn't have guessed he ranked that high..

Off the top of my head, I'd elevate Sandy Koufax and Pedro Martinez above Ryan as greatest living pitcher. And if you leave aside accusations of improper substances, there's also this guy named Clemens. --Bob

Or Greg Maddux.
RIP to The Man of Steal.
