WWTBAM Bored

There is a Racoon that transitions through my backyard. She (very pregnant) decided that underneath my chaise lounges cover would be a good place to hang out.

I decided otherwise.

DIL noticed the lump under the cover, and it was moving. I was not having a family of raccoons taking over my yard, so acquired a rubber soccer ball from the garage, and lobbed it at the lump. Lump departed with a pissed off look lol. Then DIL grabbed a broom, and I got the covers off the loungers, so there was no further benefit to her. No babies there thank goodness, but she was not happy and screamed at me from the evergreens in the backyard. She is welcome to live in my back trees, but I want my loungers

We don't get mad.

We get even....

Racoons sound like banshees from hell when pissed off. Yipes

We had a friend one time who walked on on the back patio to discover her two small children playing with a couple of baby raccons. She quickly took the babies from her kids and placed them in the yard off the side of the patio, but at that time, enter the mama racoon. The mama racoon launch itselt towards her head and had hold of her covering her entire face (like she was wearing a racoon mask). She eventually got the mama racoon off, but she looked like hell. Mostly scratches instead of bites, fortunatley.

Can't say I remember her having to get rabies shot, but I'm sure she did.

Mama racoons are not to be messed with.

And….she’s back.

Just strolling through the yard, snacking on bugs and such. She also decided to rip open my bag of garden straw. I think she is really close to whelping. I posted some pics on FB, but my technological ability ends there, so if someone in Bored Arc who knows how will grab and share here, much thanks.
