  • Sheriff Country -- Spinoff of Fire Country with Morena Baccarin as the sheriff of the small California town where Fire Country takes place.
Every one is based on government employees. Humm.

CBS has cancelled The Equalizer. Also, the previously announced new series Einstein will be delayed until the 2026-27 season.

NBC has renewed Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU. In addition, NBC has cancelled Suits LA.

It's been a busy day for the red pencil at NBC. In addition to these three shows, Found and Lopez vs. Lopez were also cancelled.

Found is especially upsetting for me. An acquaintance's husband is an extra on movies and TV that film in Atlanta, and he's been on Found a couple of times. On last Thursday's show, she appeared with him. The episode was about a Jewish family that disappears, and she and her husband played a couple walking into the temple while the show's main characters were talking to the rabbi about the disappearance.

Kimmel’s twist on Millionaire has landed on the format of putting two celebrities at once in the hot seat. The stars answer questions together in the hopes of winning up to a million dollars for the charity of their choice. Last year’s contestants included late-night personalities like John Mulaney, Kenan Thompson, Reggie Watts, and Kimmel’s Cousin Sal.

In addition to hosting the show, Kimmel executive produces it through his Kimmelot production banner alongside Michael Davies and Sony Pictures Television’s Embassy Row.

Though the new season will run through the summer, it only adds up to a few days work for Kimmel. The host will tape the season in just one weekend, recording two shows a day from Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 8.

With Kimmel typically taking summers off from Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Millionaire has the side benefit of giving him a presence on ABC even while he enjoys some time off with his family (and perhaps Magic Johnson).

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire will tape in Los Angeles in early June. Audience tickets are available via 1iota.

Amazon cancels Amy Sherman-Palladino's Étoile halfway through "two-season commitment"

It turns out that not even a “two-season” order from a major streamer can break the single-season curse on ballet TV from Amy Sherman-Palladino: Étoile, created by the Gilmore Girls alum with her husband Daniel Palladino, has just gone the way of Bunheads, having been canceled at Prime Video after just one season.
