Eagles Flying to Brazil
The Philadelphia Eagles will host the first NFL game played in South America in Sao Paulo Brazil on Friday September 6, the day after the NFL season begins. The Eagles' opponent will be announced when the entire NFL schedule is released. The NFL is also playing four games in England and Germany later in the season. The Bears, Vikings, and Jaguars will host games in London, while the Panthers will host a game in Munich.

Agreed.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Just now, on the only sports talk show Boonie and I listen to, the hosts are discussing an aspect they hadn't earlier considered. We hadn't either.
A caller earlier in the week pointed out that the Brazil game is on Friday.
Friday Night Lights. In much of this country, Friday is HS football.
Football has taken Christmas from the NBA. It's spreading out its week already. Eventually, we'll have the NFL every day of the week.
Leave Friday nights for the kids, Roger. Or, since Goodell does the owners' bidding.... leave Friday nights for the kids, NFL owners.

Philadelphia Inquirer wrote:As part of its antitrust agreement, the NFL is barred from scheduling Friday and Saturday games after 6 p.m. from the second Friday in September through the second Saturday in December so high school and college teams have a window to play. But with Labor Day falling on Sept. 2, the second Friday is pushed back to Sept. 13 this season, which offered an opening for the league.
