aka Levi Walker. He was the Atlanta Braves mascot from 1969 (when I arrived in Atlanta) until 1986, when the Braves discontinued the mascot for obvious reasons. The mascot originated when the Braves were in Milwaukee, but when they first moved to Atlanta, two white men played the role of Noc-a-Homa until Walker, a full-blooded Chipawa, showed up in his tribal regalia and got the job. Noc-a-Homa had a teepee in the outfield and would come out to do a war dance in full dress whenever the Braves hit a home run.
