Coyote v. Acme Thrown Out of Court by Warner

Warner Brothers has shelved its completed Coyote v. Acme film, which would have been a live-action/animation hybrid similar to the Space Jam movies. In the film, the coyote sues Acme, manufacturer of the many devices he uses to try to catch the roadrunner that always backfire. Will Forte plays the coyote's lawyer while John Cena plays the Acme lawyer. Warner will probably unload the film, along with some other properties like the completed Batgirl movie to another streaming platform sometime in the future.

After a major public backlash regarding the cancellation of the Coyote v. Acme movie, the case has been reversed on appeal. Warner won't release the film, either thetrically or on Max, but the director will shop it around to other studios and streaming services. Considering the public reaction to the cancellation, it's likely to get a buyer in the near future.
