I have new tunes!

I have three new recordings of my songs. My Seasons of the Heart album has 24 songs. We're slowly working through them.

I added links to the home page of my website: www.juch.org

Please tell me how you like them. The music producers will be rougher.

Really? No comments?

I'm not a big country music fan, but these songs seemed nice. I did like the Strawberry Margaritas one, especially. It reminded me of the Pina Colada song. You should get Taylor Swift to record this.

Thank you.

Taylor Swift should sing I Still Got Enough For You.

Pretty good, actually - some of the lyrics could use a little work, seems like a bit of a stretch to rhyme some of them - but altogether not bad at all. I like Strawberry Margaritas (but, I really like strawberry margaritas) Take this with a very large grain of salt, as I'm certainly no connoisseur

I don't have perfect rhymes in a few couplets. I abandoned rhyming in the outro of So Now We're a Couple, but made up for it with the monorhyme outro of I Still Got Enough For You. I'm sure my high school English teacher from the year we did poetry is long dead.

I've noticed that many current songs have no rhyming. All of Taylor Swift's recent songs don't.

My favorite poem begins: "There once was a man from Nantucket." I'd sure like Taylor to try singing that one.

Finally got my phone to play. Have no idea what that was about.
Anyway, kudos on lyrics, but is it possible to get punchier music?

It may be your phone. Try a computer with good speakers.

I'm happy with the music. What precisely do you mean by "punchier"? Louder? Faster? I specified to the performers not to overwhelm the lyrics with the music. Name a band that's punchy.

I have more in the pipeline that may have your desired punch. I have one that's not part of the "Seasons of the Heart" album that I'll have recorded after the rest of my songs; that will take a few months. That's called Love in the Key of Hell and will be heavy rock and roll.

Here are the lyrics. Imagine Joan Jett screaming them:

I tried an ABAB rhyme instead of my usual AABB.

140-150 BPM

(Verse 1)
A 2-5-1-6 progression in the key of A
Bm, E, A, F#m

They say our love was born from a whiskey haze,
On a night when the moon hung low and frail.
His heart was a lonely song, a wild, untamed blaze,
Singin' of love in the key of hell.

He walked in with a smile hot as the devil's own fire,
Eyes sparklin' like a lost star fell.
With every beat of my heart, I felt the burning desire,
Of a song of love in the key of hell.

(Chorus)
Bm, E, A, F#m

Oh, we're singin' love in the key of hell,
Where the heartache rings louder than a tolling bell.
Each touch was a flame, each word a spell,
In this twisted ol' dance of love in the key of hell.

(Verse 2)
Bm, E, A, F#m

His lips tasted of whiskey, but his promises were thin,
He knew how to play the sinner's tune so well.
As I swam in his charm, under a dim bar light's spin,
We lost ourselves in the dance of love in the key of hell.

(Chorus)
Bm, E, A, F#m

Love in the Key of Hell was our song,
Hotter than a Texas sun's cruel swell.
A twisted tale of right spun wrong,
In this crazy, burning love in the key of hell.

(Bridge)
A 4-5-6 progression in the key of A
D, E, F#m

Now every night, as the stars take their place,
In the silence of the jukebox's farewell.
My heart weeps, it sighs, and it aches,
For a love played in the key of hell.

(Chorus)
Bm, E, A, F#m

Yeah, we danced and loved in the key of hell,
In a flame that could outshine a wishing well.
But all that's left is a whiskey, bitter spell,
And a heart that still beats in the key of hell.

(Outro)
6-5-4 progression in the key of A
F#m, E, D

Here's to our dance, wild and frail,
Twisted up in love's rusted jail.
Oh, it's a cruel, cruel tale, with no avail,
Of our bitter-sweet love in the key of hell.

There's a website called Broadjam that allows people to submit songs for evaluation by companies looking for specific types and for rating by other site users.

"That Was Your Last Second Chance" is in the top 10 of thre Country-Contemporary list! And in the top 10 of the Arizona (all genres) list!

"I Might Love You Tomorrow" finished in the top 25% of the Broadjam Hot 100 (all genres) July Song Competition!
